Problems With Hyde Disposable Vapes

by:

Vape Guides

After using Hyde brand disposable vapes for a while, we have encountered some issues with some of them. While the problems are relatively infrequent, we just wanted to let all of you know what’s up in case you experience the same or similar issues.

Hyde Vape Problems

Occasionally Leak E-Juice

Hyde e-cigs, at least the ones we’ve used, do sometimes leak. It’s not often but hey- it happens. This isn’t an issue that’s isolated to Hydes by any means, as a lot of e-cigs leak e-juice. The problem is when the vape’s e-liquid leaks into your mouth and that is, unfortunately, one of the things that can happen with Hydes. We’d say that leaks with their vapes are infrequent and are sometimes caused by user error. When you accidentally put your hand or finger over the airhole on the bottom of the vape it can cause the e-juice to get sucked right out when you go to use it. Keep this in mind and you probably won’t experience too many leaks.

Sometimes Dead On Arrival

Even less frequent than e-juice leaking is a Hyde vape that’s dead on arrival. You take it out of the box, go to use it, and it does nothing. We have used a lot of Hydes and have only come across a handful or two of dead ones. The downside has been that the retailers we’ve purchased them from have strict no return policies that have left us empty-handed.

Super Weak Hits On Rare Occasion

This is by far the rarest issue that we’ve run into but there have been Hyde Original vapes that we’ve gone to use and they barely work. While we’re not exactly sure what causes this, our guess is that they’re defective. What exactly is wrong with them is a mystery that continues to elude us.

What You Can Do

You can try to return or exchange any vapes that give you trouble, but you might not be able to. A lot of vape retailers have no refund policies where all sales are final, which is pretty much awful if you happen to buy a vape that straight up does not work. Alternatively, you can try reaching out to the manufacturer to see if they can help with an exchange or refund. Otherwise, you’re basically left to eat the cost of the bad device and crack open a new one.

I’ve had a problem with the bottom of my Hyde icon vapes bottom and battery completely coming out when I pull the charger out of it. I put it back in but it won’t hit for nothing

I have bought 3 hyde vapes and one burnt within the first 3 days, and the other 2 have started leaking from the charging port

I had a rechargeable Hyde 4000 hit disposable, It was almost dead so I started charging it, I unplugged after 5 min, hit it one time but the light didn’t go off it kept hitting on its own burning the coil and started smoking. So I put it on top of a tub outside and left it there. Sounded like it was going to catch on fire.

I’ve had several Hyde Retro rechargeable s leak juice right out the bottom leaving a puddle of juice even after only a couple of days use. Then they don’t stop. That’s the only style that has leaked & it’s unfortunate because it’s my favorite due to size & airflow.

My head started leaking on my bed and got my goose down and everything else stained it was a 30 or $40 hide I live in the state of Maine it was the high rave energy energize I would like to see about how to get a warranty my money back or another one something cuz the store doesn’t do warranties if it’s defective and that’s a lot of money out on a vape

I purchased a Hyde Rebel at a gas station. The gas station did not require me to try it prior to leaving the store. The device leaked fluid on the countertop and my hand, did not hit, light stayed lit when hit and then just died after 2-3 puffs, and got very hot to touch [frightening]. Unable to return to store. Have been very happy with Hyde’s until recently- not my first bad device experience….if this is the wrong platform, please advise? And Thank you!

I bought 2 Hyde vapes and both of them were dead! Didn’t even get to try on the first hit! The store wouldn’t give me my
money back. This is very upsetting!

I bought my first Hyde vape the other day and unboxed it to find juice spilling everywhere. The pen would not hit at all and when I charged it, it started smoking.
