No Juuling In The Office: JUUL Labs Enforces California Regulations On Vaping At Work

The company that makes the JUUL e-cigarettes that are wildly popular in the United States has reportedly told its employees to stub out their cigarettes while they’re working, only in this case it’s their e-cigs.

The notice that vaping is not permitted in the offices of their headquarters in San Francisco comes as a result of the company merely enforcing the laws that are already on the books in California. For those that don’t already know, it’s illegal to vape inside of a workplace in the state.

What’s particularly humorous about this is the fact that the company makes a product that its own employees can’t legally use while they’re at work. Of course, they can always step outside and take a puff like the employed cigarette smokers have been doing for some time now in light of similar regulations that have been on the books for years. But for vaping, this is all relatively new. Not long ago there was a time when it was legal in many cases to vape indoors, but times have changed and legislation has put in place new laws to prevent vape use inside of workplaces, restaurants, and so on.
