Juul Labs, headquartered in San Francisco, has leased additional office space in Mountain View, California, which is where tech giant Google is headquartered.
The e-cig company’s lease for its commercial Mountain View space covers 30,000 square feet and according to CompStak, a company that tracks activity in the commercial real estate sector, currently runs from 2018 to 2023.
The San Francisco Chronicle reported that a Juul spokesperson declined to comment on whether the company’s employees at their current SF-based headquarters were to relocate to the new office space or whether it’s intended for all new hires.
Meanwhile, the SF Port Commission is reportedly exploring ways to either remove Juul Labs from public port property or shorten the company’s lease. With that in mind, it certainly seems as if there is at least a chance that the company may relocate its employees at its current headquarters in SF to Mountain View. Then again, Juul Labs is growing so quickly that their 5-year lease in Mountain View may simply be as a result of their rapid growth and need for additional personnel to staff their growing operations.
