If you’re still vaping with a Juul stick but you miss the days of mint pods, well, there’s an alternative out now that has us impressed and that alternative is the Hyde Original.

A Spearmint Lover’s Dream
Hydes are available in a range of e-liquid flavors but it’s their Spearmint that really stands out to us. It tastes sweet, but not overly so. It packs a tiny bit of bite, which we find just enough to give throat hit while still being pleasant.
Like Juul’s mint pods, which are no longer for sale in the United States, Hyde’s Spearmint disposables are available in 5% nicotine strength and use salt nicotine. Each disposable e-cig contains 1.8ml of e-liquid, which is good for around 300 puffs.
Not A Refillable Vape
Hyde Originals don’t use pods. The device is an all-in-one unit that can’t be recharged. Once the vape’s e-liquid is gone, it’s time to toss or recycle it and open up a new one to continue vaping. This means you won’t be messing around with any pods, refilling any cartridges, or so much as recharging the device. It’s a one-and-done type scenario, which is one of the reasons why we’re fans. Needless to say, the Hyde Original is ridiculously convenient.

While we haven’t tried all of the flavors listed above, we have tried a few. The Blue Razz is definitely one of the better flavors that we’ve tried. Imagine what a blue slushie tastes like and you should have a pretty good idea of what the Blue Razz’s vape juice tastes like. The Strawberry Banana was okay but nowhere near as good as our favorite, Spearmint. Of course, this is just our own preference and your thoughts may differ. But if you’re looking for a good alternative to the Juul mint, then definitely take a look at the Hyde Original Spearmint.
The only other flavor we’ve tried to date is the Sparkling Orange and it is not a flavor that we would recommend. If you happen to have access to Vaper Empire’s line of premium e-liquid, they have something similar that tastes dramatically better, Orange Crush. Definitely be sure to take a look at that one instead if you’re looking for a good orange flavored e-juice because it is incredible.

A Highly Portable E-Cigarette
The Original is a rectangular vape with a low profile that’s easily carried in a pocket. Hell, it’s so small you could probably carry 3 or 4 before you’d even notice them in your pocket.
E-Liquid Leaks Are Rare
We hate leaky vapes. Plain and simple. The Hyde Original rarely leaks, which is pretty good if you ask us. When it does leak a bit of e-juice in the mouth, it’s always a surprise to us because it’s such a rare occurrence. We’re not saying that it’s the absolute best in this regard, but it’s definitely up there with the best of the disposable e-cigs in terms of not leaking.
The Juice Is Good & The Flavors Are Many
As we noted above, there are a lot of flavors of Hyde Original vapes to choose from, giving you all of the options that you need to find a flavor that works for you. The only downside being that it’s not a refillable vape so you can’t use any flavor that you want, just the ones that Hyde offers.
A Good Disposable Vape
We have the found Hyde Original to be reliable, good tasting, and easy to use. It’s draw-activated so you just rip it like you would any e-cig that has absolutely no buttons to press. The price is fairly reasonable given how convenient it is. Of course, it’s not as cheap to use one of these as it is to use some refillable vapes, but if that’s what you’re looking for then you’re clearly looking at the wrong vape. The Hyde Original is for vapers who just want a simple device that does what it’s supposed to. The Hyde delivers.
