Somebody asked us where the button on a Juul vaporizer is and we couldn’t help but laugh at that prospect because Juul devices, as surprising as this may sound to those that don’t already know, do not have a button on them. There is literally no button. So then- how do you use it? Easy. Just pop in a cartridge and when you here it click, it’s ready to go. At this point, where you might normally press and possibly hold a button, you simply bring the end with the cartridge attached to it to your mouth and inhale from it. That’s how you use a Juul.

When you puff, the Juul device actually registers that it’s in use and automatically activates its heating element. The technology that allows this is known as haptic feedback, which is also known as “haptics” for short. This next-generation technology isn’t just found in Juuls, it’s also found in other hi-tech gizmos like smartphones. So next time you tap on your phone’s screen and it vibrates a little bit, just remember this: that’s haptics at work. And that’s how Juul’s know when it’s time to turn on (and off, as they automatically turn themselves off when they’re not in use).
