Benefits To Closed System Vapes

Vape Guides

There are two different systems in use today when it comes to vapes: there are open systems and there are closed systems. Open systems have the obvious benefit of allowing users to enjoy any e-juice, leaving some vapers wondering why some prefer to use closed systems. In this guide, we’ll explain to you the benefits of closed systems so that you can make a decision on whether you’d like to go with a closed system or an open system when it comes time to buy your next vape.

Closed System Vape Benefits

A closed system vape, also known as a closed system e-cig, is not designed to allow users to refill e-liquid but rather relies on pods, cartridges, or cartomizers that come prefilled with e-liquid and are discarded after the e-liquid contained within them is depleted. In other words, users throw them away once they’re used and replace them with a fresh cartridge when they’re ready to continue vaping. With that explanation out of the way, here are the benefits:

Low Maintenance

Closed systems like the V-Pack II are generally low maintenance due to the fact that their pods are not refilled but rather disposed of and replaced. This may very well generate more waste and, at times, be more expensive, but it’s also easier on the user in terms of what they have to deal with. Instead of refilling the tank or cartridge and replacing coils and cotton, users simply toss their pod and pop in a new one. It’s a one and done scenario that makes life a bit easier for some vapers.

More Convenient

Not having to refill e-liquid and deal with the hassles of replacing coils and the like is reason enough for some vapers to opt for a closed system. It’s this convenience in particular that some vapers find to be a compelling enough reason to opt for a closed system vape.

Refilling Closed System Vapes

It is possible to refill some closed system vapes, although, it is likely not recommended. An example of a closed system vape that can possibly be refilled is the JUUL device. The JUUL pods that it’s designed to work with are not intended to be refilled, however, some users have claimed to have had luck opening them up and refilling them with e-liquid. For reference, they are not designed to be opened up and refilled.

Refillable Pods

There is another alternative to refilling some closed systems: refillable pods. Using the JUUL e-cigarette, for example, there are various refillable JUUL compatible pods on the market that are manufactured by companies other than JUUL Labs. While they’re not made by JUUL Labs, they are designed to be compatible with JUUL’s e-cigs. Such pods exist for other closed system vapes as well, however, you may find little to no refillable pod options for lesser-known vapes.

It really helped when you stated that closed-system vapes are both convenient and good at preventing people from using too much dosage. My cousin has been trying to turn over a new leaf and quit smoking but has been having trouble with the cold turkey method. I wanted to get him something that can slowly ease his way out of the habit, and e-cigs sound like the perfect thing. I’ll make sure to show him your article so we can start looking for any vape shops that can set him up with the right unit.

My brother has been thinking about getting a bigger vape pod. He would really like to get some help from a professional in order to be safer. It was interesting to learn about how they can have refillable pods with a closed system.
