It’s not always a bad idea to go with the cheaper option. In fact, sometimes it’s a great idea. But when it’s a vape juice that you’re talking about, it is almost never a good idea to go with a cheap option. Sure, there are plenty of cheap e-juices and some of them are actually pretty good. The problem is that cheap e-liquid is sometimes produced, well, cheap. And when vape juice manufacturers start cutting corners to save a buck, that’s where the problems start.
Problems With Cheap E-Juices
Contaminants & Poor Ingredients
We’ve all seen reports of e-juices that have been contaminated with various substances. Maybe some of you reading this haven’t seen them. Here’s an example:
- Popular e-cigarette vape products tainted with toxins – USA Today
- Microbial Toxins in E-Liquid – NIH.gov
The list goes on and on.
There seems to be no shortage of reports in which contaminants have been found in e-juices. Beyond being contaminated with things that you absolutely do not want in your vape juice, like toxins, researchers have also found other concerns. For instance, nicotine-free vape juice, which should contain absolutely no nicotine, found to have nicotine in it. That’s a complete failure on the part of the manufacturer and it’s just one of the reasons why vapers should avoid cheap e-juices unless they’re absolutely sure that the manufacturer produces their goods the right way.
Another issue is the ingredients. Do you really want the cheap ingredients in your vape juice? Consider the fact that this is something that you’re going to heat up with a vape and then inhale. Probably best to make sure you go with a juice that’s made from high-grade ingredients, right?
Poor Customer Support
Running into a problem with your e-juice might seem unlikely but it does happen. This might be especially true when vaping cheap e-juice. Either way, you want to know that you can count on the company that made the juice to resolve your concerns. That might be a problem if the company you’re dealing with doesn’t respond to your messages, which is why you want to stick with a reputable company that takes proper care of its customers. There are plenty of them, but there are perhaps just as many bad ones that don’t. Ones that will leave you hanging when you need them.
Bad Taste & Smell
When you buy a bottle of vape juice, you probably want it to taste and smell good. If it’s made from cheap ingredients, it might not taste or smell like you’re hoping when you actually get a chance to try it out. If you’ve ever had cheap candy that tasted like what it cost, cheap, then you can imagine what some of the cheap e-juices taste like. This is another reason to stick with the good juice, which is often the more expensive option. Sometimes saving a little bit of money just isn’t worth it and let’s face it, vape juice, even the more expensive ones, is pretty cheap as it is. So don’t do yourself dirty and get a cheap bottle, spend the extra money and get something legit.
Proper E-Juice Is Made Right
Almost regardless of where you live, you can buy e-juices that are made in the EU. What’s great about juices made there is that they’re all made to specific standards that are put in place by the government. The regulations are there to protect consumers and it’s worth taking advantage of the situation by buying e-juice manufactured there. All you really need to know is that the e-juice is TPD compliant and if it is you’re pretty much all set. TPD compliant means it meets the government’s requirements and that’s definitely a good thing.
Here are some of the reasons to buy proper e-juice instead of trying to save a dollar by buying cheap juice:
- Good e-juice is manufactured in a “clean room” environment.
- Proper ingredients are used.
- Quality control measures help prevent poor quality e-juices from reaching customers.
- Customer support can help resolve concerns and answer questions.
- Proper e-juice tastes good and vapes just the same.
If you ask us, you have to be crazy to vape cheap e-juice. Don’t be a crazy person, be an intelligent vaper and only put the best vape liquids in your tank.
