How Variable Wattage & Adjustable Airflow Controls Change Everything

V-Nix looks like an ordinary vape pen in a way, albeit fancy-ish. It has that sleek black look to it that really appeals to us. But casting appearance aside, it’s the technology that’s somewhat subtly integrated that really makes it shine. Particularly, the variable wattage control and the adjustable airflow control.

Change The Airflow And Master Your Vapor

You can very easily alter the amount of air that can flow through the V-Nix by twisting a little part called the airflow collar. The collar can be found in the area between the top of the battery and the tank. It twists from left to right, right to left. Adjusting it allows you to cut off the flow of air or increase it. You don’t have to leave it completely open and you almost certainly do not want to completely shut it. Realistically, you’re going to find that somewhere between completely open and shut to be your sweet spot. Everyone is different so you will probably want to play around with it and find that spot that feels right to you.

What happens when you open the airflow?

When you increase the amount of air that you’re letting travel through the vape, the vapor is going to get cooler and lighter, and you’re going to taste less of the e-juice. If the feeling of vapor hitting you in the back of the throat (what we call “throat hit”) is too much for you to handle, you’re probably going to want to restrict the airflow less.

As an added benefit to increasing the airflow, you might find that you’re using less vape juice. That’s awesome because less vape juice used means more money in your pocket. Who doesn’t like saving money? But if a light and cool vapor isn’t right for you then it’s not right for you. That’s all there is to it. What happens when you close the airflow?

First off, you’re never going to want to completely shut off the airflow to your vape because there is a minimum amount that is needed. And by needed we do mean that it is 100% necessary to have some airflow or you won’t be able to vape. Imagine sucking through a straw but the other end is completely closed and that’s basically what trying to vape with zero airflow is like. It doesn’t work.

The more you reduce your e-cigarette’s airflow the more intense the vapor is going to be. It’s going to get denser, and warmer, and the flavor of the e-juice will be more pronounced. So if you want an intense hit then slowly shut the collar until the vapor is right for you.

Control The Power By Adjusting The Wattage

Vaper Empire’s V-Nix has an operating wattage that spans from 10.5 watts to 13.5 watts. When you lower it, you’re decreasing the power to the coils. Now here’s what happens when you adjust the wattage:

• Decreasing the power by lowering the wattage makes the vapor cooler and smoother.
• Increasing the power by raising the wattage makes the vapor warmer and stronger.

Taking Complete Control With The V-Nix

Controlling the pen’s wattage and airflow puts you in a position where you don’t have to settle for anything. If the vapor isn’t exactly how you want it then all you have to do is adjust it.

You can also use menthol flavors and iced e-juices (iced vape juices contain menthol) to make the throat hit feel even stronger or avoid them entirely if you’re looking for some ultra smooth vapor. If it’s still not strong enough for you then you can try using an e-juice that has more nicotine in it or one that contains more PG — both of these will make for a stronger vapor.

There’s always a chance that some random vape you buy will have the right throat hit with the e-juice that you’re using. It might not be all that likely but it can happen. If you’re not comfortable banking on the stars aligning for you when it comes to the vape you buy, you’re going to want to look for one that has a wattage or voltage adjustment and an airflow collar so you can change the settings to get it to where you want it to be.
