Disposable Vapes Are A Lot More Convenient

It might be hard for some vapers to admit, particularly those who vape with hi-tech mods, but disposable vapes really are a lot more convenient. You never have to mess with anything; you just use them. Mods can be so intense that some new vapers might decide they’re too complex to bother learning how to operate. Even tasks that some veteran vapers might consider simple like changing coils can be too much additional pressure on a new vaper that is trying to switch from smoking to vaping. That’s where the disposable slides into the picture.

Disposable Vapes & Their Benefits

Why Disposables Vapes Rock, Especially For New Vapers

We wrote about this in some detail previously, but if you haven’t realized it yet, disposables are great for vapers who have been using e-cigarettes for a while because they’re really convenient. There isn’t much hassle with them beyond the occasional need to replace them with new ones and the cost that goes with doing so. This isn’t just a benefit for regular vapers who have been vaping for a while, it’s also a really solid reason why they make for good (maybe even ideal) entry-level vapes.

A new vaper does not need to deal with the learning curve that goes with getting started with a new mechanical mod. They don’t need to figure out how to build coils, replace atomizers, or even recharge their vape battery and refill their tank. That’s all hassle, in some sense, and it’s not necessary for a new vaper to wrap their head around. Quitting smoking is tough and having to figure out how to use an e-cigarette isn’t something that a smoker switching to vaping needs to deal with, at least not right up front. What a new vaper needs is simplicity and that’s what disposables offer.

With a disposable, you just need to figure out which end to put your mouth on and how hard to hit. Those first puffs can be overload for new vapers that are used to smoking because the vapor doesn’t feel like smoke. Sure, it’s similar, but it’s not the same. It’s lighter, usually. So a new vaper might not realize how much they’ve inhaled until they’re coughing it out because they took in too much. After a while, it becomes easier to determine how much is enough and how much is too much. But using the feeling of smoke entering the mouth and hitting the back of the throat as a gauge can be confusing because vapor does not have as much of a sensation.

Some Disposable Vape Flavors Are Better For Smokers

The main flavor that smokers want to keep an eye on is menthol. Anything that has menthol in it will usually have the word “ice” or “iced” in the vape juice name (example: “iced berry” would likely be a berry e-juice with some menthol mixed in). This is less about people who smoke menthol cigarettes and more about smokers that are used to feeling the smoke hit their throat. Smoke is harsh and e-juices that contain menthol are usually harsher than ones that don’t so smokers that use a menthol vape juice might find that it feels more like smoke than flavors that don’t have any menthol in them.

The other obvious flavor is tobacco. There is a world of different tobacco flavors out there. There are sweet ones like caramel tobacco, there are cool ones like menthol tobacco, and there are a whole bunch more. These are aimed at smokers. The idea is to give smokers switching to e-cigs a good place to start. It doesn’t mean all smokers will stay where they started and keep on vaping the same tobacco flavors that they first switched to vaping with. Actually, a lot of smokers who switch eventually move on to different flavors, sweeter flavors like apple, watermelon, cherry, and cola. There are way better flavors than tobacco and that’s one of the big appeals; possibly part of the reason that so many smokers have been able to quit smoking with e-cigs.

Benefits Recap

Why use a disposable? Here’s why:

  • Disposable vapes are probably the easiest vapes to use. You don’t have to recharge their batteries, refill their e-juice, change their coils, swap out their atomizers, or anything else. You just use them. When they’re done, you toss them. Well, we should say that in an ideal world you recycle them but a lot of vapers just toss them in the trash, creating issues with e-waste, but that’s a story for another time.
  • They come in a lot of flavors. This wasn’t always true but these days you can find disposables in tons of flavors. There are a lot of brands producing them and there are a lot of flavors available. There are limitations, sure, but that’s only when we compare them to the entire world’s supply of e-liquid flavors. Looking at it realistically, as a vaper you will probably find more than one flavor of disposable that you really enjoy if you try enough of them. You might even say, “I like mint e-juice, what disposable options are there?” The answer would be that there are a bunch of different mint-flavored disposable vapes so take your pick.
  • Disposables are small and easy to carry. Some vapers don’t mind a big fat vape in their pocket. Others do mind. With disposables, you can get big ones or small ones. Some are really small and others you are likely to find more noticeable in your pocket. Still, we have yet to find a disposable vape that’s as obnoxiously heavy and large as some of the vape mods we’ve seen.
  • They usually use nic salts. A lot of the disposables around right now are using vape juices made with nicotine salts. These work a little different from the traditional nicotine that early e-cigs used (and still use in many cases). They purportedly absorb faster into your bloodstream—the nicotine, that is. What might be more important is that the salts are smoother from a throat-hit perspective so vape companies can produce e-juices at higher strengths without making products that are too harsh for typical vapers to enjoy.
