Come July 23 of this year, Canadians will no longer be able to buy any vaping products that contain nicotine in a concentration higher than 20mg/ml, which is fairly low. Some of the e-cigs that we use at Vape Hawk don’t even come in concentrations that low, as they’re only available at this time in 50mg/ml and 25mg/ml.
Canadian vape manufacturers have until July 8 to stop manufacturing vaping products that exceed the new limit. Retailers of vaping products have until July 23 to pull any e-cigs or e-liquids that contain more than the new limit.
Will this lead to Canadian vapers mixing their own e-liquids? Will the new limit spawn a black market for vaping products that exceed the limit? In time, we will surely know the answer. Our guess is that vapers in the country have seen the writing on the wall for some time now and some have already prepared themselves by stockpiling the supplies that they’ll need to continue vaping e-liquids at higher concentrations, although those stockpiles will eventually deplete.
